This man deserted 9/17/62 but as he returned to the service on 5/1/65 under the President's Proclamation dated 3/11/65 and appears to have complied with the conditions thereof(do far as not waived by the Government), the charge of desertion no longer stands against him. The record of the fact that he was absent in desertion from 9/17/62 to 5/1/65 cannot, however be expunged.
